Mold REMEDIATION Services
Mold Remediation Services Hotline: 561-374-2151
Every mold situation differs from the amount of mold to the types of materials affected. Mold and mildew are naturally occurring microorganisms that commonly exist in our homes, particularly in humid South Florida. These microbes can be toxic and non-toxic and can be any number of colors including black, purple, and green. You may first notice the musty odor of mold and mildew. Then, it may appear on doorways, walls, ceilings, or floors, and will continue to spread extremely fast. When the amount of mold or mildew increases to this alarming level, most frequently due to water damage, rapid mold remediation becomes a must. Without it, mold can cause health concerns for pets and people of all ages, including allergic reactions, asthma, and headaches
WHAT IS INVOLVED IN MOLD REMEDIATION?
Mold remediation involves mold cleanup and removal by Stella’s Emergency Services Professionals to address the damage and health hazards associated with mold. Cleaning with bleach and water will not kill mold. Moldy material must be removed and the damaged area reconstructed; therefore mold remediation is best left to a professional, qualified to handle dangerous material and stop the spread of mold to other rooms. Expert mold remediation includes:
ASSESSMENT
A Stella’s Emergency Services professional will come into your home to determine moldy areas as well as the source of the problem. If needed, swab samples will be taken to measure the level and/or presence of mold. We will then develop a mold remediation plan.
CONTAINMENT
The source of the moisture problem is managed and the affected area is closed off to avoid contaminating the rest of your home with mold spores stirred up during the removal process.
FILTRATION
HEPA filters will be used to clean the air of mold spores and other particles. The Stella’s Emergency Services professional will also wear goggles and a mask to reduceany exposure to airborne contaminants.
REMOVAL
Building materials and personal belongings in your home can be affected. Since mold is a living organism and deeply ingrains itself into materials to survive, it is best to dispose of anything porous. The safest and most effective way to guarantee that the mold doesn’t return is to remove the affected material.
DRYING
It is crucial that cleaned and repaired items stay thoroughly dry. Remember, excessive moisture is how the issue started. As a result, your Stella’s Emergency Services mold remediation specialist will likely cover moisture management methods to ensure your home doesn’t encounter future problems.
TESTING
Following remediation, a post-remediation air sample is advised to ensure the cleanup has been successful.
REPAIR
The reconstruction process will initiate after all mold-contaminated materials are extracted. Clean, mold-free materials will replace what was previously infected.
